information, please click here. scw fire station 102 moved to temporary building during the month of august 2008, the firefighters assigned to fire station 102 (stardust and meeker) started working out of a temporary building positioned in the parking lot behind the fire house. the emergency crews will be working out of this temporary housing for up to twelve months while the fire station is being renovated. emergency crews will still be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and can be summoned for emergencies by dialing 9-1-1. for more information, please contact the fire district district. board members are elected to alternating four-year terms so there are at least two members elected every two years. the last fire district board election was held on tuesday, november 4, 2008. the fire district’s registered voters elected three directors to fill four-year terms. the official election canvas was approved by the maricopa county board of supervisors on november 24, 2008 and by the fire district of sun city west fire board during a special meeting on november 26, 2008. the successful candidates are dusty rhodes, david wilson and dennis lake. the final vote count can 1981 and has grown to protect roughly 40,000 residents within an approximate 25 square mile area (service area map). the district provides fire protection, emergency medical service, hazardous materials response, technical rescue, disaster preparedness and response, public assistance / non-emergency response, fire cause determination and investigation, fire code enforcement and inspection,
