(1 engine), orwigsburg fire dept (1 engine), englewood (rit team), district 58 station 2 hh&l (move-up to haven). photos from: www.havenfire.org - mark krammes click on the ones above to enlarge them.   june 25, 2008 - mutual aid - atv accident - (st. clair) click on photos to enlarge..     station 60 was dispatched to assist the st. clair fire dept with an off road atv rescue. crews had a difficult time accessing the patient due to the location down an embankment so yorkville set up a haul system to make it easier to get the patient back up the hill to awaiting paramedics. photos by: z. rist - sta. 60 click on the ones above to enlarge them.   june 16, 2008 - working structure fire click on photos to enlarge..     20:08 - city companies were alerted to 7th and race for an incoming box alarm and as the dispatch was being made, communications began to receive multiple calls reporting the fire at 623 race st. p-6 arrived on scene and reported a working fire in the middle of the row. crews stretched a line into the building to find the kitchen area well involved with the fire making its way up the interior stair well. an aggressive interior attack held all fire damage to 623 with smoke and water damage to the exposures. crews had the fire under control in approximately 15 minutes. p-6 had command photos by: z. rist - sta. 60 - writeup by: m. messner - sta. 50 click on the ones above to enlarge them.   may 30, 2008 - helicopter crash w/ possible entrapment click on photos to enlarge..     20:55 -station 50 and 60 were dispatched for a helicopter crash in the area of 1400 block of laurel blvd. with possible entrapment. when p-4 went responding and received additional information from dispatch he requested another engine company to the scene which then added station 30 to the call. upon arrival, fire fighters found a downed helicopter with a flight crew of three starting to be extricated by neighbors in the area and that one of the engines was still running. fire fighters then stretched a 1 3/4" line to provide protection to personnel operating around the helicopter and to shut the engine down. all three crew members were taken to lehigh valley hospital for minor injuries. ema was notified due to the type of crash and because of the fuel spill. this then added station 10 to the call for air monitoring and to assist with foaming down the area around the helicopter. units were on scene until late afternoon on the 31st until the helicopter was removed. p-4 had command. - photos by: members of the pfd more pictures coming soon - click on the ones above to enlarge them.           site hosted by:     last updated: 6/26/2008 website designer & webmaster: jonathan morgalis - sta. 30
