units were alerted to bethel township in the area of buckvalley rd. and pigeon cove rd. for a car fire. while units were responding hq's advised that emt 55-06 was on scene, vehicle was fully engulfed, and was close to the maryland line. members assisted in normal operations, units cleared about a hour after dispatch.       &nbs      fluid spill   dec 27th - rescue 55 was alerted around 22:00 to bethel township 12595 buckvalley rd. for a fuel spill "per c4-55". units arrived on scene to find a mva with a fluid spill and no injuries. ff's cleaned up the hazardous materials and command 55 place the box available around 23:00.       &nbs      building fire   dec 11th - on dec 9th units were alerted at approx. 20:20 hrs for a possible building fire. engine 1-55 was the first unit on the scene at approx 20:26 hrs, finding heavy fire to the rear of a 2 1/2 story steel frame structure. both 1 3/4" crosslays were placed into service making an exterior attack on the alpha and delta sides of the structure. as crews were attacking the fire numerous explosions were occurring. eng 1-56 arrived on scene laying approx 1000 feet of 5" supply line from the roadway supplying eng 1-55. eng 1-56 also placed 2-1 3/4" crosslays into service, starting an attack on the bravo/charlie sides of the building. on the bravo/charlie corners there were 2-300 gal lp tanks, a third 1 3/4" hand line was used keeping these tanks cool, after both tanks were shut off, tr-56 arrived on scene and truck ops were established, adding a 2 1/2" attack line attached to a "blitz fire". the blaze was bought under control and salvage and overhaul operations were started. box was placed available at approx 02:30hrs on wed, dec 10th       &nbs pictures coming soon please check back        &n fulton county news paper article units on scene eng 155, eng 2-55, eng,156, eng 2-56, eng 157, bedford county eng 40-14, washington county eng 52 and 53, tankers 55,56,57,bedford county 40,washington county t4, allegany county t43, morgan t1-20, truck56, mp55, res 55, and amb 55 transfer assignments: co.55-morgan county engine 2-15       &nbs co.56-franklin county engine 18       &nbs co.57-huntington county t12        &nbs        new engine 2-55    dec 11th - on oct 11th nvfc placed the 1996 spartan quality into service. this unit will serve as a engine/rescue. the 1996 spartan quality has a 8 man cab, 1500 gpm pump, and 750 gallons of water.       &nbs this unit was purchased from the wise avenue volunteer fire company, baltimore county.       &nbs       &nbs        i-70 rollover nov 6th - units were alerted at 17:04 to bethel township interstate 70 mm 165 for a rollover. while en route headquarters advised that they had received the call from a pass buyer and they advised there was a jeep in the median and vehicle had rolled several times unknown extent of injuries. c55 advised hq to go ahead and put stat 12 on stand by. units arrived on scene to find a single vehicle in the median with a pt refusal. c55 advised hq to cancel stat 12. units cleared at 18:06       &nbs        the old ambulance   oct 30th - the old ambulance "55" a 2004 mccoy miller ambulance is going to be resold by j&j emergency vehicles. here is the pictures before the old ambulance left the station.       &nbs       &nbs        the new ambulance is in service   oct 30th - co.55 would like to announce the new 2008 mccoy miller ambulance is in service as of today. the company would like to give the mcconnellburg vol. fire co. a very special thanks for them letting us use their ambulance "2-56" while we was switching all the equipment over to the new ambulance. we did respond to 1 call with it (amb 2-56) a mva rollover. our old ambulance is being resold by j&j emergency vehicles.       &nbs       &nbs       &nbs       &nbs             &nbs  more pictures coming soon!!!        atv accident   oct 19th - res 55 was dispatched around 11:00 to thompson township 630 west view rd. box 5-10 to assist wc co.59 and wc co.5 with a atv accident. while enroute headquarters advised pt was back a long dirt road and there would be someone at the end of the road on a atv to guide us in. res 55 arrived on scene and staged until conformation from c5. personal started to walk back and c55 advised c1-55 to grab the stokes basket off the rescue and bring it back. wc m59-1 advised to start air medical. hq's advised stat 12 had a 16 min eta. lz55 command was started at the time. wc eng 51 was alerted to another call. res 55 and wc units cleared about 1hr after dispatch.       &nbs       &nbs       &nbs res 55 w/2 and 14 pov        new ambulance "tribute to u.s.a"    oct 13th - as of 7/21/08 engine 2-55 has been placed o.o.s. due to major mechanical issues.      ice cream social and parade    july 31st - the nvfc ice cream social and parade is canceled. it is being canceled due the expansion of the new building that was built in the 1990's to store the apparatus. the ice cream social, parade and open house for the new expansion building will be on october 11th unknown time. time will be posted as soon as it is verified. pictures on the process of the new building online store   june 27th - units were alerted to the area of great cove rd. and buck valley rd. for tree and wires down. while enroute hq advised c55 that they was processing another call on i70 mva @ the 166 mm. engine 1-55 and brush 55 handled the tree and wires down on great cove rd. and buck valley rd.. res 55 and amb 55 handled the mva on the i. units arrived on the i to find single vehicle in the median with no damage. pt was pt refusal res 55 and amb 55 waited on scene for the arrival of psp. units cleared about an hour after dispatch.       rollover   may 9th -  members get an early morning wake up call around 3:30 and was alerted to thompson twp, thompson rd and myers rd. for a rollover. res 55 and c55 was first to respond and arrive on scene to find single vehicle on the right side of the rd. pt was self extracted, pt refusal. members cleaned up the hazardous leaks, the roadway, and waited for the arrival of psp. cmd 55 placed the box available around 4:30.    pedestrian accident   may 6th -  co. 55 & medic 56 was alerted at 19:39 to belfast twp 7800 blk of great cove rd. for a pedestrian accident. res 55 was the first unit to respond along with c55. while enroute hq advised c55 that a member from our company was on scene advised pt was lying along the rd. also with head trauma and other things. c55 advised hq to check on air medical. res 55 was the first to arrive on scene at 19:41 to find a fm lying on the right side of the rd. c55 advised hq to start air medical to the scene. hq advised stat 12 was in the air with a 15 min eta. ff's and ems collared and back boarded pt and loaded pt into the amb. and treated the pt until the arrival of air medical. command 55 placed the box available at 21:00.   units responded: eng 1-55 w/3, res 55w/3, amb 55 w/2, and 26 pov    chimeny fire   may 5th - tanker 55 was alerted to 1374 union twp mckibbins ln.
