hudson fire department hudson volunteer fire department, inc. 3731 ted trout dr. hudson, tx. 75904p.o. box 154931 lufkin, tx. 75915ph: 936-875-4728fax: 936-875-5889 web page designed and maintained by mark loose link page for sponsors & equipment manufacturers please report broken links. web page last updated 10-05-08 "our family protecting your family" join hfd k-9 sar or ladies auxiliary mission statementthe mission of the hudson fire department shall be the saving of livesand the protection of property endangered by fires and other disastersand to promote the teaching and practice of fire prevention and protection. the hudson volunteer fire department was founded in 1974 by the hudson lions club. the lions clubpurchased our first truck from the texas forest service and we began operations as the hudson lions clubvolunteer fire department. after about 3 months the department formed it's own charter and becamehudson volunteer fire department, inc. the department, located in northwest angelina county of east texas, protects 76 square miles which makesup the hudson school district. we are an all volunteer department with funding provided by donationscollected by the hudson water supply and the woodlawn water supply. we also receive funding from angelinacounty and the city of hudson. we are dispatched through a 911 system by the lufkin police department. after many years of hard work and fundraisers we ( the citizens of hudson ) are the proud owners of twostations, eight trucks and have over 20 active firefighters. station 1 is located about 2 miles west of lufkinon state hwy 94 which houses a grass truck, a 1250 gpm pumper, a 300 gpm mini-pumper and our new2000 gallon tanker. station 2 is located about 2 miles west of lufkin on state hwy 103 and houses a 1000gpm pumper, a grass truck, an 1800 gallon tanker and our utility truck. officers of the department are elected in december and serve a one year term. we meet at station 1 onmonday nights at 6:00 pm to service the trucks. our meetings start at 7:00 pm. new items posted 11-17-07 clicking on the following links will take you out of the hfd web site
